Text Box: Here is the Parish of St Mary & All Saints’, Checkley. Our Mission Statement is, ‘Working together in love and unity to bring about God’s Kingdom’, our primary purpose being to make God real for the people of this community through caring and sharing in its life. We aim to provide a balance of worship styles, providing monthly themed All-Age worship (ATIC- All Together in Church) of an informal nature, which attracts many young families alongside the more formal Eucharistic worship, for which there is a choir and a team of servers. We have a friendly approach. Lay people read lessons and lead intercessions. Special Family Communion Services are devised for important occasions eg Easter Day. During Communion Services the Junior Church meets in the belfry (6-10 children; team of 3 leaders); the children come to be blessed as communion is received and share what they have been learning. We have a Ministry Team, Mothers’ Union,
